How Do Patients Pay for Invisalign?

If you want to straighten your teeth, you may be considering Invisalign. This nearly invisible alternative to braces can help you achieve the alignment you want without all the hardware. Like braces, Invisalign comes with a price tag, but it’s always worth it for a perfect smile! In this article, we’ll go over what Invisalign does, discuss Invisalign costs, and lay out the payment options people usually use.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a straightening and aligning system for teeth. It does more or less the same work that braces do, and it’s one of our most popular treatments at Palm Beach Orthodontics. The difference is that, instead of metal brackets and wires, Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners that are made to fit your teeth.

How Does It Work?

With traditional braces, the orthodontist glues brackets to the teeth and runs a wire through the brackets. Over time, the wires are adjusted to gradually move the teeth to the correct positions. Invisalign does the same thing, but instead of wires, there is a series of clear aligners. Each aligner moves the teeth a little bit more until the patient reaches the desired alignment.

Benefits of Invisalign

There are many benefits of using Invisalign instead of traditional braces. The first is that the treatment is not as noticeable as others. Since the aligners are clear and made for each individual’s teeth, they fit tightly and are difficult to see. Most patients also find that the aligners do not cause changes to the way they speak, as braces often do.

Another benefit to Invisalign is that most patients experience less pain and discomfort than they would with regular braces. Brackets on braces tend to scratch the inside of the mouth, leading to pain and sometimes sores. This is not possible with Invisalign, since the aligners are smooth plastic.

Finally, since the aligners can be removed from the teeth, patients are able to brush and floss their teeth as they normally would. Difficulty with brushing and flossing is a common problem with braces, since there is hardware to work around.

Invisalign at Palm Beach Orthodontics

At Palm Beach Orthodontics, the process for Invisalign begins with a scan. Dr. Angela uses a 3-D computer imaging scanner to make a 3-D model of the patient’s teeth. Based on this model, she plans a course of treatment. Then, patients receive their first set of Invisalign Spark Aligners. Usually, patients wear each set for about 14 days before receiving a new one.

That’s it! After going through the series of aligners, the patient’s ideal smile is ready for the world to see. Even better, the treatment is not obvious to others and common braces-related problems, like difficulty brushing teeth, are nonexistent.

What To Expect from Invisalign Costs

Like any orthodontic treatment, it is difficult to predict exactly what Invisalign will cost for each individual patient. There are several factors that can affect the overall cost. These include the severity of the problem that a patient wants to fix, the length of time the treatment will take to complete, and any other recommendations Dr. Angela may make to provide you with the best results.

At Palm Beach Orthodontics, we do the best we can to make sure treatment is within reach for everyone. To accomplish that, we offer several payment options for patients to consider. Also, note that we accept most insurance. Give us a call to check whether your plan is accepted.

Payment In Full by Cash, Check, or Credit/Debit Card

If they would like, patients can pay in full when you begin treatment. We accept cash, checks, and credit or debit cards. If paying in full is feasible in a patient’s individual situation, this is the way to go. We also provide a courtesy discount for those who use this option.

Payment Arrangements Using a Flex Plan or Health Savings Plan

For patients who have a Flex Plan or a Health Savings Plan, we can make payment arrangements to help them utilize those funds. Payments can be set up to coincide with monthly or bimonthly deposits to the Flex Plan or Health Savings Plan account. That way, patients can use that money for this qualified expense without worrying about the timing.

In-House Payment Plans

We are also proud to offer in-house payment plans to our patients. These plans are interest-free installment agreements. This is a great option for patients who want to pay over time without impacting their credit or overpaying on interest by taking out a loan or putting their treatment on a credit card. We work with each individual patient to determine what payment plan is best for them and their situation.

At Palm Beach Orthodontics, we believe that your best investment is yourself. Having a healthy, beautiful smile can do wonders for a person’s confidence. The long-term benefits far outweigh the short-term costs.
